Food Server

Job Description

As a Food Server, you are responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and efficient service to restaurant guests. You will take and accurately communicate food and beverage orders, deliver orders in a timely manner, and help ensure a positive dining experience for every guest.

Job Requirements

• Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive service to restaurant guests, fellow team members, and the culinary production team.
• Greet and welcome each guest seated within the assigned station with a friendly demeanor, eye contact, and a smile.
• Take the initial beverage order within three minutes of guests being seated.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including food and beverage offerings, ingredients, and available options.
• Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders while ensuring all special requests and modifications are properly communicated.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with kitchen and culinary staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor assigned tables and respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and additional needs.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner while following established service standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of assigned tables and service stations.
• Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Maintain a positive, courteous, and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, and vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
• Previous food service or serving experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

• Basic knowledge of food allergies and the ability to communicate guest allergy concerns accurately and promptly.
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-volume, and potentially stressful environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
• Must be flexible and available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
