Duties
- Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to support project execution.
- Support service technicians in diagnosing mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency.
- Aid in plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting and refrigerant line connections.
- Participate in field service operations by responding to service calls for property maintenance or appliance repair.
- Learn safety protocols for handling ammonia refrigeration systems and other hazardous materials while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and mechanical systems is preferred.
- Prior experience as a service technician or in property maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, and refrigeration principles is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, and equipment repair will be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with
driver requirements is beneficial. - Strong interest in learning about HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration)
