Cash Time Loan Centers is seeking an energetic, dependable, and detail‑oriented Experienced Automotive Mechanic / Lot Porter to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining vehicle functionality and appearance, performing basic diagnostics and repairs, organizing the repossession lot, and assisting customers professionally. ASE Certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnose non‑running vehicles and complete necessary repairs to prepare units for auction
- Assist with vehicle preparation for sale or auction
- Safely move, park, and organize vehicles within the repo lot
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the lot area
- Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and properly staged
- Organize, maintain, and secure vehicle keys
- Assist customers with redeeming personal property and/or repossessed vehicles
- Provide professional, friendly customer service at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding vehicle status and issues
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or lot attendant
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical diagnostics
- Ability to repair and prepare non‑working vehicles for resale or auction
- Experience driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and willing to learn
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Additional Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Completion of drug screening and background check
- Attendance at required training sessions and team meetings
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
- ASE Certification is a plus
