Job Overview
We are seeking a Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our dental family for September, October and November of 2026 with possibility of transition to a permanent 2 day per week position. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, dental records, and documenting findings accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) system Eaglesoft.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions with enthusiasm and clarity.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments.
- Support pediatric dentistry cases by creating a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygiene license with current state licensure requirements fulfilled.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and confidentiality.
- Experience with adult and pediatric dentistry, imaging and documentation review is advantageous.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, and dental records management to support accurate documentation.
