Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Assess patient oral health status by reviewing medical history
- Take a vital signs (blood pressure) dental imaging, and other diagnostic data to inform treatment plans
- Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Eaglesoft
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures
- Experience with EMR systems
- Knowledge of dental records management, vital signs, and dental imaging
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate patient care delivery
- Familiarity with dental office operations, including documentation review, HIPAA and OSHA compliance
