What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Manager position at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine?
The Gryder lab is :
- pioneering new anti-cancer therapeutics, especially drugs targeting transcription factors and chromatin regulatory machinery
- uncovering new mechanisms at work in gene control, using the integration of 3D genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, systems biology, and super-resolution imaging of nuclear condensate dynamics
- mapping the core regulatory circuitry of human disease
We are seeking an experienced molecular biologist to lead the wet-lab operations of the Gryder Laboratory. We will work heavily with molecular biology (CRISPR, cloning, protein tagging, western blotting, cell culture), NGS library preparation (ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, HiC, CUTandTag, CUTandRUN), and microscopy (DNA and RNA FISH, immunofluorescence with super-resolution to identify nuclear condensates).
At the foundation of our lab, we are looking for a scientist who works with diligence, is well organized, pays great attention to detail and keeps the lab running smoothly. This will include performing wetlab experiments, troubleshooting new wet-lab technology development, teaching trainees / volunteers, developing systems of semi-automation with streamlined workflows (including the evaluation / purchase of new equipment), and keeping detailed records / inventory of biomaterials / experiments generated in the lab.
