- Overseeing the daily operations of the Shipping department
- Ensuring safety procedures are being adhered to
- Setting goals and following up on the progress of those goals
- Enabling associates to be cross trained within the Shipping department
- Verifying all paperwork is completed correctly and turned in daily
- Training and retaining employees in a positive and professional manner
- Maintaining product integrity
- Ensuring trucks are loaded properly, efficiently and with urgency
- Verifying the cleanliness of the cooler, dock and all Shipping grounds are maintained in an acceptable manner.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Operate a floor jack and have a basic knowledge of loading
- Read and understand necessary reports
- Ability to perform all the functions of the Clerk in their absence
- Communicate instructions to the yard driver as well as Security
- Prior Supervisory experience in food distribution is helpful
- Effective coordination between Shipping and Production
- Possess the ability to effectively train associates for retention.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Food Manufacturing experience.

- While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, frequently lift material up to 50 pounds, with frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing and pulling use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.
- Work is normally performed in a sub-zero freezer/warehouse/production environment.
- As part of the job requirements, employee will be exposed to working in a warehouse setting with cold temperature (-20) at times.
- Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility.
