- Provide guidance and leadership to all maintenance personnel on shift.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment in the facility through the administration of a preventive maintenance program.
- Monitor the production process and respond to mechanical breakdowns to direct and guide mechanic response and efficiency.
- Ensure equipment is in working order and working conditions are always safe.
- Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up.
- Manage overall maintenance work quality and completion to ensure all standards and specifications are met.
- Assist employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments.
- Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members.
- Champion for company-wide safety programs and initiatives.
- Excellent communications skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Poultry Maintenance Operations or transferable skill sets from food manufacturing process in a similar industry.
- Ability to work with computers, Office programs, as well as payroll, attendance, and performance tracking software.
- 2 years of experience managing hourly associates at the frontline level, preferably in poultry processing.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable fields, like Pneumatics, Plumbing, Electricity, Hydraulics, and general maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC’S & Electronics.
- Must have verifiable experience with the Stork Nu-Tec Nuova Eviscerating Equipment specially the PNT and Rehanger.
- Must be able to troubleshoot with an electrical meter and read electrical line diagrams.
- As a plus experience with Ishida Scales, Food Mate Ultimate, and Pac-mac Baggers.
- High school diploma.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a food-manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in heavy industrial equipment repair.
- Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic competency.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently.
- High energy level.
- Team player.
