Overview
Case Family Practice is seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within our facility, contributing to a positive experience for all who enter. Medical office experience is preferred.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing them with necessary information and assistance.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and triaging patient calls.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records accurately.
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Support medical collection efforts by following up on outstanding accounts and coordinating with relevant departments.
- Utilize 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry and record management.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
- Promoting the Direct Primary Care family medicine process.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding practices is a plus, although this practice does not bill insurance companies at all.
- Proficient typing skills, including 10-key typing for accurate data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in clerical tasks.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy environment.
- A positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential for this role.
- General knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and medical scheduling software a plus
- Someone who works well with others in a small business setting
- Flexibility is a must as there will be much cross- tasking between two administrative personnel.
