- Full-service recruitment, selling and on-boarding of facilities management services in accordance with specified cost and performance objectives.
- Perform all Sourcing Specialist functions including:
- Pre-award requirements development.
- Developing and issuing requests for pricing.
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions to maximize profit margins.
- Service provider contract generation.
- Review compliance with processes and procedures.
- Service provider interface and problem resolution.
- Analyze various market costs, current service provider base and develop and recommend cost-effective options.
- Strategically source new service providers who can supply timely, quality services within the required price ranges. Qualify them for adequate resources, insurance compliance and technology aptitude.
- Build relationships with service providers in assigned markets.
- Manage supplier performance and help improve or replace underperforming service providers.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in supporting a strategic sourcing or procurement department.
- 1-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or sales.
- Must be able to work extended hours (on call 24/7 during weather events) and long duration shifts during different seasons throughout the year.
- Working knowledge of contracts, compliance, and scopes of work.
- Facilities management experience in exterior and interior services a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn Salesforce.
- Ability to articulate difficult outcomes candidly and respectfully, without wavering.
- Attention to detail, the ability to influence others and manage conflict.
- Self-motivated, analytical, critical thinker and most importantly a team player, able to anticipate service provider strategy before it unfolds.
- Methodical approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication skills including phone and email etiquette.
