What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavation Laborer position at Case Construction?
Case Excavation is seeking a skilled and reliable excavation laborer to join our team! This laborer is responsible for helping prepare job sites, grade with precision, able to safely operate a variety of construction equipment, and be able to handle a variety of different tasks. Winters are spent with the Construction crew on general construction jobs. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience on a construction/excavation team and is able to operate machinery effectively and safely.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience setting grade/grading techniques and using laser leveling tools
- Ability to operate a skid steer, mini skid, and excavator
- Strong understanding of site preparation
- Ability to read and interpret construction site plans is a plus
- Detail oriented, dependable, and ability to work in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- General knowledge of drainage and septic systems
- Mechanical knowledge is not required, but is a plus
- Self motivated and able to be self sufficient
