Duties
- Provide peer support advocacy by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and resilience.
- Conduct crisis management and crisis intervention to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety.
- Support clients with behavioral health needs through motivational interviewing and harm reduction strategies.
- Assist individuals with co-occurring disorders by coordinating care plans and connecting them with appropriate resources.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information while documenting interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized recovery plans that incorporate social work principles and addiction counseling techniques.
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in crisis management, crisis intervention, and behavioral health counseling.
- Knowledge of harm reduction practices, motivational interviewing, and addiction counseling methods.
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations and advocating for peer support initiatives.
- Ability to share personal recovery experiences appropriately to motivate clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Familiarity with social work practices, client communication strategies, and maintaining patient confidentiality within healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case tracking.
