Community Relations Director

Position Summary

The Community Relations Director helps create a joyful & vibrant community through active and strategic outreach and localized brand visibility. The Community Relations Director also implements effective marketing programs to increase occupancy and secure move-ins at the community.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and support the community's sales and marketing activities by appropriately positioning the Heatherwood brand in the market. You will accomplish this by leading the following initiatives:
    • Creating and maintaining an aggressive outreach strategy.
    • Creating, planning and delivering an in-house event schedule designed to bring prospects and key decision makers into the community to experience life inside the community.
  • Responsible for assisting the Director of Brand & Experience in meeting budgeted occupancy and move in goals.
  • Support the move-in process by assisting prospective residents, their family members, and/or advisers in the decision-making process by understanding their needs and educating them about the community's services and programs.
  • Provide support in the areas of lead follow-up, middle-of-the-funnel engagement, tours and move-ins.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Brand & Experience to ensure 7 days-per-week, 9:00am-5:00pm sales staffing at the community.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills to all customers.
  • Take referral information from telephone and walk-in inquiries, obtaining necessary personal, clinical and financial information.
  • Work with the Director of Brand & Experience to ensure apartment readiness for move-ins; maintain model apartments, and ensure the community is always tour ready.
  • Provide the Business Office Manager with information to ensure prompt coordination for financial verification and confirm financial verification forms are accurate and complete.
  • Participate in stand-up meetings to provide updates on referrals, pending move-ins and scheduled tours. Train other staff on how to provide an effective tour.
  • Attend and participate in all assigned in-service training.
  • Ensure consistent brand presence in Boise through network meetings and free public relations opportunities.
  • Know Resident Rights. Helps residents exercise and/or protect their rights.
  • Report resident complaints to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information.
  • Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Maintain currency on Welcome, Dayforce and other systems, assigned tasks, and duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Demonstrates skills in problem solving, conflict management and budgeting.
  • Possesses excellent leadership skills and has a caring disposition. Possess compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
  • Present a neat, professional, courteous manner and appearance.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written with the ability to ready, write, speak and understand English. Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license, with access to an automobile with current car insurance in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
  • Maintain current Food Handlers card.
  • Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check.
  • Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. High proficiency in managing CRM software and other marketing-related systems. Strong computer skill including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings as necessary to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Ability to creatively problem solve.
