A large, established Eastern European non-alcoholic beverage manufacturer is expanding its presence in the United States and is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager for Southern California.


This position will focus on building distribution, managing retail relationships, and driving sales growth throughout the region. The role is highly field-focused and requires someone who understands the Southern California beverage market and can work directly with independent retailers, distributors, and cold bottle accounts.


The company will support the market with a seven-figure marketing budget in Southern California for 2026, creating strong opportunities for brand growth and retail execution.


Important: This brand is focused on quality distribution, not mass placement. The goal is to secure placement in the best accounts and retailers in the market. The company is not focused on price-driven liquor store channels, but rather on strong retail partners that support premium positioning and brand growth.


Key Responsibilities


• Develop and expand distribution across Southern California

• Call on independent cold bottle accounts including convenience stores, delis, liquor stores, specialty retailers, and natural/specialty stores

• Target and secure placement in high-quality retail accounts aligned with the brand’s premium positioning

• Build and maintain relationships with retail owners, managers, and buyers

• Work with distributor sales teams to secure placements and increase shelf presence

• Execute in-store merchandising, including displays, cooler placements, and point-of-sale materials

• Conduct occasional in-store product demos and sampling events to drive trial and consumer awareness

• Monitor retail pricing, competitive activity, and market conditions

• Identify new account opportunities and open new retail placements

• Provide regular reporting on sales activity, market feedback, and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of beverage or CPG sales experience

• Strong knowledge of the Southern California retail landscape

• Experience calling on independent cold bottle accounts and natural/specialty retailers

• Ability to execute merchandising and retail activation programs

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the territory

Compensation


  • Competitive base salary (~$65,000) performance bonus.
  • $600 monthly car allowance ( tolls, parking, gas reimbursed).
  • $600 monthly health reimbursement.
