What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Agent position at Cascades Inn?
Small but growing hotel near Indiana University campus on the near north side of Bloomington looking for a dependable, hardworking, friendly individual for our Front Desk team. Duties involve checking in guests in person and over the phone, answering guest questions, liaising with housekeeping and maintenance staff, troubleshooting reservation issues, working with on-line travel sites such as Expedia, Booking.com and Airbnb, event space reservations and set-up.
Currently looking for mostly Day shifts starting at 6:45 and/or afternoon, occasional evening overlapping shifts and Evening shifts from 4pm to Midnight. Weekend and Holiday availability a must. We are looking for a person who is happy to jump in where they are needed. Familiarity with office computer programs a must. Attention to detail and ability to multitask well a must. People person a must! A fun and interesting place to work in a non-corporate environment.
Hotel experience preferred but will train suitable candidate. A great opportunity if you've ever had an interest in learning the hospitality industry with fast promotion and wage increases and advanced training. $15-16 p/hr to start or compensation based on experience. Plenty of opportunity for overtime pay if you are interested in putting in longer hours. Great position for someone looking for a long-term career.
Must be able to pass a full Federal background check. Reliable transportation a must.
