Job Overview
Looking for a Traffic Control Flagger, where you will play a role in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow at job sites. You will guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around active work zones, helping to prevent accidents and maintain efficient operations. Flagger Certification Required
Duties
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around work zones using clear hand signals or stop/slow paddles to ensure safety for workers and the public
- Set up and maintain proper signage, cones, barriers, and flagging stations according to safety regulations and project plans
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, equipment operators, and site supervisors to coordinate traffic flow and respond to changing site conditions
- Monitor work zones continuously for hazards or unsafe behaviors, escalating issues promptly to site management
- Maintain accurate records of daily traffic control activities and report any incidents or concerns immediately
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- Prior experience in traffic control is required; 6 months minimum.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
- Drivers License Required & must be insurable
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Flagger Certification Required
Pay: $23.00 - $25.50 per hour
