Job Title: Head Varsity Volleyball Coach
Reports To: Activities/Athletics Director
Job Summary:
The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the athletic program,
including coaching, training, and mentoring student-athletes. This role requires a dynamic leader
with a passion for sports, a commitment to student development, and the ability to foster a
positive and competitive environment and build relationships with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all levels of the program.
? Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.
? Monitor and evaluate the performance of student-athletes, providing feedback and
guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
? Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and trainings as
governed by Montana High School Activity Association and Cascade Public Schools.
? Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal
growth.
? Coordinate with the Activities/Athletic Director to schedule and manage practices,
games, and other events.
? Oversee and manage the athletic department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of
resources, monitoring expenditures, and adhering to financial policies and procedures.
? Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to help supplement financial
support for the athletic program.
? Ensure the athletic facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet the needs of the athletes
and staff.
? Communicate expectations to all stakeholders and student athletes.
? Promote the athletic program within the school and the community to all stakeholders.
? Provide support and guidance to student-athletes in their academic success and
achievements.
? Other functions may be required as given or assigned.
Qualifications:
? High School Diploma or Equivalent
? Minimum of 3 years (preferred) of relevant coaching experience, with a proven track
record of success.
? Strong leadership and communication skills.
? Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, and
administrators.
? Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, NFHS, MHSA, and Cascade Public Schools policies and
regulations.
? CPR and First Aid certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee regularly works around others, works with the
public, and works inside & outside. The noise level in the work environment varies but is
frequently loud. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
required to walk and stand continuously. The employee will frequently be required to reach with
hands and arms; stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee continuously uses hand strength to
grasp tools/objects. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50
pounds. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision, depth perception, and peripheral
vision.
MENTAL/MOTOR DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely
performs routine work. The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one
task to another). Guidance and reinforcement are usually available. The employee frequently
works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness and intensity. The employee is frequently
involved in social interactions which require oral and written communications. The physical
