- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all levels of the program.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of student-athletes, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures and trainings as governed by Montana High School Activity Association and Cascade Public Schools.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Coordinate with the Activities/Athletic Director to schedule and manage practices, games, and other events.
- Oversee and manage the athletic department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, monitoring expenditures, and adhering to financial policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to help supplement financial support for the athletic program.
- Ensure the athletic facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet the needs of the athletes and staff.
- Communicate expectations to all stakeholders and student athletes.
- Promote the athletic program within the school and the community to all stakeholders.
- Provide support and guidance to student-athletes in their academic success and achievements.
- Other functions may be required as given or assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years (preferred) of relevant coaching experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, NFHS, MHSA, and Cascade Public Schools policies and regulations.
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

The Head Varsity Football Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 8-man football program, including coaching, training, and mentoring student-athletes. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee regularly works around others, works with the public, and works inside & outside. The noise level in the work environment varies but is frequently loud. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand continuously. The employee will frequently be required to reach with hands and arms; stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools/objects.
