What You’ll Be Doing

You will perform maintenance and highly specialized repairs or improvements to the community building(s) and equipment.

Pay: $20.40 - $23.65 / hr DOE

• Actively participate in departmental training and create inviting, resident‑focused experiences while engaging with residents, guests, and co‑workers in a gracious, attentive, and courteous manner.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair community access control systems and related hardware, ensuring reliable and secure operation across the campus.
• Perform general maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and equipment, supporting the safe and efficient functioning of community facilities.
• Respond to community alarms, IL pendant calls, and emergency situations as a calm, knowledgeable first responder, coordinating with security and local agencies and following established emergency procedures.
  
  

About You

• 3 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related trade, With preferred certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or universal refrigerant recovery.
• Comfortable using, maintaining, and repairing a variety of tools and equipment, with basic awareness of safety practices, chemicals, and building fire and life‑safety systems.
• Able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, labels, or drawings, and communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with maintenance or building systems software (such as work order or building automation tools), with the ability to learn and use technology to support daily operations.
• Knowledge of CMMS, BAS, and EMS systems and the ability to apply these tools in daily maintenance and facility operations.
