Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, with a focus on floor care and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the facility
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a clean and professional appearance
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, and restroom sanitation
• Handle custodial responsibilities including restocking supplies and ensuring restrooms are hygienic and well-maintained
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stored properly and inventory is managed effectively
• Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Preferred Skills (Not required)

• Experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation
• Skilled in floor care including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors
• Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks when required
• Experience with facilities maintenance or porter responsibilities is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good organizational skills for managing supplies and maintaining cleanliness standards
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Required

• Must be extremely reliable and punctual, with the ability to arrive at job sites on time
• Must have access to transportation to get to job sites
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9 verification required — W-2 position)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
