What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-site Motel Manager (free apartment included) position at Cascade City Center Motel?
We are looking to hire an on-site motel manager team of two for a small independent motel. This position includes a free on-site apartment.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and check in guests
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and assist guests with questions
- Oversee daily motel operations and make sure guests have a good experience
- Inspect rooms, grounds, parking lot, and common areas for cleanliness and appearance
- Help manage housekeeping and front desk staff
- Train, schedule, and monitor staff performance
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Track daily revenue, payments, deposits, and basic reports
- Coordinate with ownership on rates, expenses, repairs, and operational needs
- Perform light maintenance around the property as needed
- Coordinate larger repairs with vendors or maintenance contractors
- Help keep the property clean, safe, and well maintained
Requirements:
- Customer service experience preferred
- Hotel, motel, or property management experience is a plus
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Must be reliable, professional, and comfortable living on-site
- Ability to handle guest issues calmly and respectfully
- Light maintenance or handyman experience is a plus
