The resource specialist - special education teacher works in our student services department, working individually with students to help identify their individual needs and create a supportive learning environment that includes the resources they need to reach their God-given potential. Our priority is to serve the whole child and ensure a place of belonging.

- Facilitate opportunities for spiritual growth in students
- Meet regularly with all grade-level student support teams to discuss student progress, identify tiered levels of support, and facilitate individual student needs
- Function as an essential member of campus leadership student support teams to make decisions based on the student services referral process
- Create and case manage student support plans relative to behavioral, emotional, or academic needs and updated annually as needed
- Manage the flow and communication of student-related paperwork and documentation pertaining to student evaluations, objectives, progress, and support plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers concerning students who are at-risk in the learning environment, helping find creative solutions for students who need modifications or accommodations for their work environment
- Evaluate and identify lagging skills, specific learning styles, and neurodevelopmental patterns
- Promote understanding and use of student-specific accommodations/modifications
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and leadership to implement RTI benchmarking and progress monitoring protocol
- Provide tier 3 support for students relative to academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
- Design and support the model of biblical inclusion with direct instruction appropriate to the neurodevelopmental and academic needs of students with disabilities and identified diagnoses (including home and life skills as needed)
- Consult and collaborate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns or needs in academic, personal, social, and spiritual issues
- Lead and facilitate parent meetings during scheduled school hours, after-school hours, and other identified times as needed
- Oversee the daily supervision, responsibilities, and schedule of instructional assistants

Required Qualifications:
- Washington State teaching certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attendance at one Saturday open house event
- Attendance at devotions, faculty meetings, after-school and evening functions
- First-aid and CPR-certified or a willingness to receive and pass certification training
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education
- Endorsement as a Reading Specialist or Math Specialist
- Three or more years as a general classroom teacher (Elementary/Secondary)

Director of Student Services and Campus Principal
WORK HOURS:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

SALARY RANGE:
$42,686 - $57,895; Depending on qualifications
