Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pizza and pasta dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to food safety sanitizing protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes and seasonal specials to enhance the dining experience
- Maintain high-volume production standards during peak hours while ensuring consistency and presentation quality
- Support food production activities including braising, poaching, grilling, and food assembly to meet customer demand
- Follow food safety management practices diligently, including proper knife skills, portion control, and ingredient storage
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with a focus on pizza making, pasta preparation, or general kitchen operations
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Experience with high-volume production environments and recipe adherence
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong skills in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Background in fine dining or upscale food industry settings is advantageous
