Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards and food safety guidelines
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders promptly, and provide personalized beverage recommendations to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, following health and safety protocols
- Manage food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Operate cash registers for cashiering duties including processing cash handling transactions with accuracy and accountability
- Support beverage service by serving drinks promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or café environments with barista experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced retail or food industry setting
