What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Commercial position at Casa Pro?
We are looking for a Head of Commercial to own our go-to-market strategy end-to-end. This is a founding team-level role — you will be the bridge between our AI product, our supply chain, and the contractors who use both.
This is not a management role. In the first year, you will be on the ground — visiting stores, meeting contractors, running pilots, and building the playbook from scratch. The right person thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and is obsessed with understanding what contractors actually need.
What You Will Own
GTM Strategy & Contractor Acquisition
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for AI Agent adoption among professional contractors
- Build scalable acquisition channels: trade shows, contractor associations, in-store conversion, referral programs
- Drive paid user growth for the AI Agent tool ;
Store Operations & Expansion
- Directly manage store managers across existing locations and new openings ;
- Standardize the in-store contractor experience: material selection, AI tool demo, onboarding flow
- Optimize single-store unit economics: revenue per store, contractor retention, basket size
Franchise Development
- Lead franchise recruitment in partnership with legal counsel (post-FDD completion)
- Build franchise onboarding playbook and operational standards
- Identify and qualify franchise candidates, primarily within Chinese-American business communities initially
Product & Data Feedback Loop
- Translate contractor pain points into product requirements — work directly with the CTO and data team
- Track key metrics: contractor activation rate, weekly purchase frequency, AI tool engagement, churn
- Own the voice of the customer: run structured interviews, capture objections, report insights weekly
What We Are Looking For
Must-Have
- 5 years in B2B sales or channel development targeting small businesses or trade contractors in the US
- Proven track record of building a sales motion from zero — not just scaling an existing one
- Deep understanding of the professional contractor (Pro) customer: how they buy, what they value, how they talk
- Comfortable working without a full team — you will hire as you grow, but you start lean
- Based in or willing to relocate to Northern California; frequent store visits required
- American-facing presence — you will be the external face of Casa Pro to contractors and franchise candidates
Strong Plus
- Experience in building materials, flooring, home improvement, or adjacent industries (Floor & Decor, Builders FirstSource, ABC Supply, etc.)
- Experience at a contractor-focused SaaS company (ServiceTitan, Jobber, Buildertrend, Housecall Pro)
- Franchise development or multi-location retail expansion experience
- Prior startup or early-stage company experience
Compensation & Equity
We are building a company, not filling a headcount. Compensation is structured accordingly:
- Base salary:depending on experience
- OTE (on-target earnings)
- Equity: Co-founder level options
- Role title: Partner-level — you will have a seat at the leadership table
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
