Job Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will report directly to the Director of Rehab Manager who is responsible for overseeing direct clinical skills, documentation skills, and the compliance to all professional standards. Physical Therapist assistant will be indirectly supervised by the DOR, will carry out treatment plans as established by the RPT, and will have all documentation signed by the RPT.

Job Description:
- The PTA is responsible for the treatment for residents who demonstrate disorder of musculoskeletal deficiencies, neurological conditions, balance disorders, and transfer/gait deficits. Treatment will only be conducted after a written order is received from the physician and RPT.
- The PTA is responsible for the completion of all necessary documentation.
- The PTA is responsible for attending all required facility meetings and in services.
- The PTA will assist the facility in meeting the standards necessary to obtain state, federal and other appropriate certification.
- The PTA will employ and follow all appropriate facility infection control policies and procedures and will respect and follow OBRA Resident’s Rights Guidelines
- The PTA is responsible for the appropriate scheduling of residents on caseload in addition to all required in-services and meetings.
- The PTA will contact the DOR if productivity levels consistently fall below or exceed the standard to indicate the need for additional staffing or the need for assistance in screening and identifying resident in need of PT services.
- The PTA will always present her/himself in a professional manner including professional conduct, professional communication, and appropriate dress while in the facility.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehab and facility.
