Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Job Type: Full -Time | Onsite
Schedule: Monday – Friday, (8:00AM – 5:00PM)
Pay: $95,000
Casa Loma College is seeking a Director, Career Services who will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive career development program for the Casa Loma College System of Schools that best meets the needs of our students, graduates, employers, and community.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Director, Career Services oversees development and implementation of a comprehensive Career Development Program for the College and provides direct leadership to programs, services, and resources aimed at career development education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers and organizations that can provide employment and career learning opportunities.
- Provide personnel management, direction and guidance to staff across Casa Loma College locations including performance appraisals, training and personal and professional development.
- Maintain an on-going analysis of the job placement, licensure/certification, surveys and employment verifications numbers and statistics for all programs.
- Oversee communication of outcomes to campus and community stakeholders.
- Provide Weekly Placement Report to the College leadership.
- Provide presentations on career-related topics such as, but not limited to career planning, resume writing, job search skills, and interviewing techniques.
- Plans and coordinates career fairs
- Creates effective marketing strategies/materials to increase participation in Career Development workshops/events.
- Research best practices and develop implementation strategies.
- Monitors tracking and reporting for clinical rotations, employment and licensure/certification statistics of graduates.
- Conduct a robust marketing campaign, including outbound phone calls, to discover hidden jobs.
- Actively market Casa Loma College Graduates for positions with employer partners.
- Hire, on-board, train and evaluate Career Advisors in the performance of their duties.
- Properly implement College policies and procedures
- Assist in the implementation of licensure review and career development (CDV) courses.
- Ensure compliance with current policies/procedures and state, federal and national accrediting agency requirements related to Job Placement, Employer and Graduate Surveys, and Graduate Placement Files
- Participate in College events including but not limited to open house and commencement ceremonies.
- Fulfill all other assigned duties.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Work Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in career services, advising, or related roles, preferably in an educational, healthcare or vocational setting.
- Previous experience in developing and delivering career-related workshops, seminars, and events.
- Proficient in using career assessment tools, job search databases, and other career resources.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with employers, alumni, and industry professionals to facilitate job placements and internships.
- Familiarity with data analysis and assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of career services programs and initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree
