Case Manager — Mercer County

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of South-Central New Jersey recruits, trains and supports community volunteers who advocate for the best interest of local children in foster care. The Advocate Supervisor provides case management support to our volunteers, enabling them to support the children assigned to us. CASA provides a supportive and engaging work environment, and a wonderful, dedicated team of co-workers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage a case load of roughly 30 volunteers.
• Introduce cases to assigned Advocate and review cases with them monthly, providing coaching and support as needed.
• Review, edit and approve court reports, and finalize and distribute to court and other legal parties.
• Monitor and document that Advocates are meeting requirements and documenting those steps in CASA's database.
• Provide or arrange for coverage for Advocates and/or Peer Coaches as needed, including at court hearings.
• Notify Senior Advocate Supervisor of issues with case, Advocate or Peer Coach as they arise.
• Complete performance evaluations for new Advocates after 3 months, and all Advocates annually.
• Acknowledge volunteer milestones, including exit interviews, cards for anniversary of service, etc.
• Complete Case Closure stories when a case is complete.
• Participate in regularly scheduled Advocate Supervisor meetings to discuss cases, troubleshoot, provide support and coordinate efforts.
• Ensure that case notes, data and other items needed for grants and other reports are up to date and accurate.
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
