Job Summary:
The Visiting Artist Assistant is a crucial liaison between our venue and visiting artists or performers.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Crowd Control: Greet patrons with a warm and welcoming demeanor, and provide information about the venue, event, and facilities. Monitor and manage crowd flow to prevent congestion and ensure a safe environment.
Artist Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for visiting artists, addressing their needs, concerns, and requests during their time at the venue.
Logistics and Performance Support: Assist in coordinating and overseeing of artist's arrival. Ensure that artists have the necessary resources and facilities for performances, such as dressing rooms, equipment, and technical support.
Communication and Problem Resolution: Maintain clear and open communication with artists, their management, and venue staff to ensure smooth event execution.
Problem Resolution: Act as a mediator and troubleshooter, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the artist's stay.
Safety and Security: Collaborate with venue security to ensure the safety and security of artists, their belongings, and the venue.Ensure that all contracted performers meet artist standards and follow Casa Bonita policies and procedures
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Prior experience in artist liaison or event coordination is a plus.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
- Proven ability to consistently deliver results with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, read, and hear/understand English fluently. Spanish would be a bonus
- Frequent walking, standing, and moving between tight spaces.
- Capable of walking and standing on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Capable of walking extended distances.
- Able to walk both up inclines and down declines multiple times in a shift.
- Able to walk up and down stairs multiple times in a shift.
- Must be able to pivot on feet to move around groups of people
- Must be able to move from seated to standing and standing to seated positions without assistance.
- Capable of sitting, stooping, bending, reaching during the entirety of any given shift
- Able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Must be able to bend, stretch, lift, and perform other physical aspects of the job for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand, walk, run during entirety of working shift.
- Must be able to walk 10,000 steps on any given shift.
