What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Construction Project Manager position at CAS Steel Erectors?
We are in search of a knowledgeable, hardworking, experienced Project Manager with an understanding of steel erection specifically.
Education and Experience requirements
A combination of College Degree from accredited college or university in Construction Management and 5 years previous experience in the Structural Steel Industry or a minimum of 10 years of previous experience in Construction Management within the Steel Industry.
· Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
· Experience with PlanGrid & Tekla preferred. Experience in Sage 100 Contractors helpful.
· Experience reading & following Blueprints.
· Strong Leadership and Management skills
Organized and great attention to detail.
· Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Job Expectations:
· Clearly and effectively communicate both verbally & in written form.
· Cultivate and support a team environment and culture.
· Be knowledgeable of and abide by all Safety Regulations and heavily promote safety among the teams.
· Clear and concise understanding of the scope of jobs to coordinate and manage the execution, progress & completion of the work.
· Visit job sites as needed to check on the progress and quality of workmanship. Expect to spend roughly 50% of your time in the field. This will vary from job to job and will require flexibility on your part.
· Scheduling crews.
· Coordinating as liaison between owners and other Project Managers.
· Continual monitoring that all phases of the work are being completed on task according to the schedule to successfully meet completion deadlines.
· Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in any project requirements.
· Perform estimates and quantity take-offs using the appropriate software.
Willing to relocate. We would help with relocation expense.
