We are a fast-growing independent used car dealership focused on efficiency, quality inventory, and a strong customer experience. We are looking for a highly organized and driven Recon Manager to take full control of our vehicle reconditioning process and help us scale to the next level.
Position Overview
The Recon Manager is responsible for managing the entire reconditioning (recon) process from the moment a vehicle arrives to when it is frontline-ready for sale.
This role is critical to keeping inventory moving quickly, reducing delays, and ensuring every vehicle is ready for sale within 3–5 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect all incoming vehicles within 24 hours
- Create and manage repair/reconditioning plans
- Coordinate with mechanics, detailers, and vendors
- Order and track parts needed for repairs
- Monitor and push all vehicles through recon stages
- Ensure vehicles are lot-ready (clean, functional, presentable)
- Communicate daily updates on vehicle status
- Identify and eliminate delays in the recon process
- Maintain organization of keys, vehicles, and workflow
Daily Workflow Expectations
- Review all inventory and recon status each morning
- Ensure no vehicle is sitting without action
- Follow up with vendors and team members throughout the day
- Provide end-of-day update on progress and issues
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive industry (dealership or shop preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple vehicles at different stages
- Basic mechanical knowledge (not required to perform repairs)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
- Must know how to operate windows computer
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
