Role Description The Housekeeper / House Attendant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Portland, OR, starting at $23.00 per hour. Housekeeper responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas through dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms and high-touch surfaces, along with changing linens, making beds, replenishing amenities, and managing laundry tasks such as washing, drying, and folding linens and towels. House Attendant responsibilities include stocking and delivering clean linens and supplies to guest floors, collecting soiled linens and trash for transport to laundry and disposal areas, cleaning hallways, elevators, stairwells, lobbies, and public restrooms, delivering guest requests such as rollaway beds, cribs, and extra towels, assisting with deep cleaning projects, and keeping linen closets and storage areas organized. Both roles follow established cleaning standards and safety procedures, report maintenance issues, and collaborate with the housekeeping team and other hotel departments to support a consistent, high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry tasks efficiently, including room cleaning, linen handling, trash removal, and basic equipment operation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests, housekeepers, supervisors, and other departments.
• Solid organization skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain consistent cleaning and stocking standards throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, with availability for weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to remain on your feet for the full shift, bend and reach repeatedly, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, push and pull loaded carts, and climb stairs.
• Hotel, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Compensation Starting at $23.00 per hour, paid weekly. W-2 employment with Staffing by Carver — not contract work.
