- 3 year’s director-level experience in Human Resources in a school district setting
- Master’s degree in business, Human Resources Management, or directly related field or any combination of education and experience
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

- Oversees the recruitment, selection and employment of the best qualified personnel to staff all District openings.
- Oversees all human resources processes such as the hiring process, finger printing and background checks
- Oversees the creation, training and monitoring of an employee appraisal program that contributes to the continuous improvement of staff performance.
- Recommends reviews and designs all job application forms used by the District, ensuring their compliance with state and federal statutes and Board policies on non-discrimination.
- Collaborates with administrators on personnel matters.
- Collaborates with educational services and the Executive Director of School Leadership to ensure recruitment and retention of highly qualified administrators for schools
- Supervises the administration of the District’s retirement program.
- Leads the District Meet and Confer Team, and collaborates with CEA Leadership in the meet and confer process as directed by the Superintendent or Governing Board.
- Serves as District liaison for the placement of all interns and student teachers from community colleges and universitiesAttends Superintendent’s meetings and serves actively to improve communication, cooperation and planning in the District
- Oversees and recommends all assignments, transfers, resignations and dismissals of personnel to the Governing Board.
- Provides guidance to District administrative and supervisory personnel in matters relating to employee relations.
- Provides necessary advice and processing for issuance and renewal of state credentials.
- Makes timely announcements of dates to be observed by applicants and employees to comply with state and District requirements.
- Plans, develops and revises personnel policies in accordance with state law for submission to the Board for adoption.
- Maintains personnel handbooks.
- Assumes administrative responsibility for routine duties of the Human Resources office.
- Engages in advocating, promoting and securing the rights of all persons with particular reference to employees of the District.
- Regularly reports and makes recommendations to the Superintendent on policies, practices and procedures for improving District personnel services.

- Oversees all advertisement and job postings for vacant job positions in the District.
- Maintains and updates a complete file of job descriptions in the District.
