This is a paid, hands-on opportunity to gain real experience running a local lifestyle brand’s marketing strategy from concept to publication.
Job Description
As a Social Media Intern, you will plan, create, and publish engaging content that showcases the Cartpath Social brand and helps drive community engagement, event attendance, and corporate bookings. You’ll manage the day-to-day flow of social media, engage with followers, and track performance analytics — all while bringing your own ideas and creativity to the table.
This is a hybrid on-site and remote position (at least 75% of time onsite) in Lowell, AR, ideal for a college student or recent graduate passionate about sports, community, and content creation.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Content Planning and Strategy
- Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Balance a consistent mix of fun, trendy, and informative posts that reflect Cartpath Social’s voice.
- Coordinate with management to include promotions, events, and partnerships.
Content Creation
- Capture photos and videos at the facility (events, guests, and facility highlights).
- Design branded graphics using Canva following our official brand guide.
- Write short, engaging captions aligned with our fun, sporty, and community-driven tone.
- Integrate hashtags, tags, and calls-to-action for each post.
Scheduling and Publishing
- Use Meta Business Suite to schedule and manage posts for Instagram and Facebook.
- Create and schedule LinkedIn posts for business updates and corporate engagement.
- Maintain a steady posting rhythm: Instagram/Facebook – 5 posts per week (2 trendy 3 informative); LinkedIn – ~2 posts per week (10 per month).
Community Engagement
- Monitor comments, messages, and tags daily; respond promptly and professionally.
- Engage with followers and local businesses to build community relationships.
- Reshare user-generated content and highlight customer stories.
Performance Tracking
- Review weekly analytics for engagement, reach, and follower growth.
- Summarize results in a monthly report with key insights and content recommendations.
- Identify top-performing content and propose adjustments to improve future engagement.
Monthly Deliverables
- 30 total posts (20 for Instagram/Facebook, 10 for LinkedIn)
- Monthly performance summary
- Consistent engagement and inbox management
Ideal Experience and Interests
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience managing social media accounts (personal, student org, or small business).
- Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and basic photography/videography.
- Knowledge of Instagram Reels, Stories, and short-form video editing (via mobile apps).
