What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Operator/ Equipment Specialist position at Carton Service?
Job Summary
We are a small distribution company that also manufactures corrugated boxes. We need someone who is mechanically inclined a real hands on fixer who enjoys making things run smoothly while making boxes. We offer some overtime and a medical stipend of $300 per month to go toward your own medical plan or whatever you see fit to do with it. We have 401K with an employer match.
Responsibilities
- Operate a range of manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, universal slitter, gluer and ink jet printer with precision and safety.
- Set up and put specs in for jobs. Run jobs with accuracy and speed.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality control inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility with hands-on operation of CNC machines or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC trouble shooting and maintenance.
- Experience with various manufacturing tools such as CNC Machines, gluers, slitters, and printers.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers for quality assurance purposes.
- Warehouse experience or materials handling skills with forklift certification preferred.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining and fabrication tasks.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
