Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to commercial car carriers. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in manufacturing, construction painting, auto body repair, or warehouse operations is highly valued. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed using hand tools and power tools.
- Apply paints, primers, coatings, and sealants using electrostatic spraying equipment, brushes, or rollers.
- Maintain painting equipment such as hoses, pumps, pressure tanks and electrostatic guns.
- Perform fabrication and assembly tasks related to painting projects when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment by following proper disposal and cleanup procedures.
- Follow safety guidelines related to working with chemicals, paints, and heavy machinery in a manufacturing setting.
- Assist with materials handling and warehouse organization as needed within lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting, construction painting, auto body repair, or related fields such as manufacturing or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, airless paint spraying systems, and precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of fabrication tools, machining processes, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience working with materials handling equipment such as cranes or material lifts preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship in auto painting or industrial coating applications.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory management related to materials used in painting projects.
