Dermatology Nurse Practitioner/Physicist Assistant Opportunity in the Beautiful Thousand Islands

Imagine starting your day in the serene beauty of the Thousand Islands, and then working with an established dermatology practice in the North Country. The primary location of service would be Claxton Hepburn Medical Campus. You will join a collaborative team of a board-certified dermatologist, LPNs and Medical Assistants all dedicated to delivering outstanding dermatology related patient care to our community.

The Dermatology Service is growing and we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NPs) or Physician Assistant (PAs) to join this Hospital-based dermatology practice, with a modern office located within the hospital. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)  are integral members of our department and clinical care teams that provide comprehensive care. In this position, the APP works alongside an experienced dermatologist and medically manages a variety of dermatology outpatients. 

About the Role:

The Dermatology APP plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with various skin conditions. This position involves conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing dermatological issues, and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. The APP will also educate patients on skin health, preventive measures, and post-treatment care, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their treatment journey. Collaboration with the dermatologist and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance patient outcomes and improve their quality of life through effective dermatological care.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Candidates must be board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license.

• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year dermatology experience.

• Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
