Responsible to Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, Charge Nurse and Paramedic Supervisor.

DEFINITION OF POSITION
-
An Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic who performs duties related to the daily operation of Carteret Health Care Ambulance Service. Serves as primary Cath Lab Transport. Flexes to the Emergency Department when not engaged with transport for the Cath Lab.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Professional
-
Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic in the State of North Carolina.
-
Current approval to function at the EMT-Paramedic level in Carteret County as approved by the Carteret County ALS Medical Director.
-
Current North Carolina drivers license with a safe driving record and preferred completion of an emergency vehicle-driving course.
-
Knowledge of current trends and techniques related to Emergency Medical Services and responsibilities in providing ambulance services.

BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
-
EVOC or EVD preferred
-
ACLS
-
ITLS/PHTLS must be obtained within one year of hire.
