Position Overview

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll lead CSS’s efforts to expand business opportunities, increase brand visibility, and build long-term relationships. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our growth strategy, creating proposals, and engaging with both new clients and partners to amplify CSS’s impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads targeting small businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and individuals seeking HR or career services
  • Cultivate strong professional relationships through networking, referrals, partnerships, and industry events
  • Craft compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs; coordinate responses to RFPs and RFQs as needed
  • Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and finalize agreements, ensuring alignment with CSS’s value proposition
  • Collaborate with marketing and service teams to develop client-facing materials—brochures, case studies, digital content, and presentations
  • Drive marketing initiatives across digital platforms and social media channels to raise awareness
  • Serve as a trusted business partner and advisor for existing accounts, anticipating needs and identifying opportunities for expanded services
  • Oversee renewal and upselling strategies to maximize customer lifetime value
  • Manage a sales pipeline through CRM, tracking leads, meeting progress, proposals, and deals
  • Provide regular reports on key metrics: new business, revenue growth, pipeline status, and market trends

Qualifications

  • 5 years in business development, sales, or client relations, ideally within staffing, HR services, consulting, or travel industries
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and business acumen
  • Ability to translate client needs into compelling service offerings
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital marketing platforms
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage priorities
  • Strategic thinker, adaptable, relationship-driven, and customer-focused
  • Passionate about supporting individual and small business growth
  • Preferred: Existing network or familiarity with executives, entrepreneurs, and HR leaders in the Texas region
  • Preferred: Experience managing both B2B and B2C initiatives
