Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, critical care requirements, and those recovering from hospital stays. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transferring clients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Monitor clients’ health status by observing and reporting changes in their condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Medication Reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment.
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) tailored to their specific needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred; experience in nursing home settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.
- Knowledge of critical care practices and catheter care is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within systems that support patient care.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.
