Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Yard Attendant for their Power Systems Rental Division (PSD) in Richmond, Virginia. The PSD Rental Yard Attendant position is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving/releasing of all equipment, generators and attachments; maintaining the organization of the yard for easy access; directing the delivery and returns for all equipment. Additional responsibilities include performing basic check-in inspections. Seeking candidates with mechanical aptitude; High school diploma or GED, preferred.
Requirements for the PSD Rental Yard Attendant position include:

- Must be self-directed, organized and be able to interact with coworkers and train new yard attendants.

- Must be able to work additional hours to meet business and customer needs.
- Must have an excellent driving record.

Physical requirements must be met for the PSD Rental Yard Attendant job, including frequently sitting for extended periods of time. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
