In this role, you will drive new business opportunities by identifying, developing, and nurturing client relationships within the logistics and supply chain management industry. Your strategic mindset will help expand our logistics solutions footprint, diversify our client portfolio even further, and deliver tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new business leads through targeted outreach, networking, and market research within the 3PL Final Mile Delivery and freight forwarding sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail, ecommerce, manufatuering, or other clients to understand their supply chain requirements and provide customized logistics solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation, ensuring clear communication of service offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals, pricing strategies, and contracts that align with client needs while maximizing revenue growth.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, client interactions, pipeline status, and data entry for accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Stay informed about industry trends, trade compliance regulations, international trade laws, FDA regulations (if applicable), and EDI standards to ensure compliant service delivery.
- Represent the Company professionally at client meetings, trade events, store visits, and other necessary field activities.
Requirements
- 2 years proven experience in logistics sales or business development within a 3PL or freight forwarding logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), shipping logistics, and freight brokerage operations.
- Demonstrated strong ability in B2B sales, client relationship management, and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with transportation planning tools, carrier sales strategies, and customer service principles in the logistics sector.
- Proficiency in M365 along with CRM software for data entry and client tracking.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with effective communication abilities for client engagement and inside sales activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service excellence.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is a physically active role located in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, this position be comfortable with the following physical requirements as needed:
- Heavy Lifting: Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry objects independently, and heavier loads with team assistance.
- Mobility: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling throughout a typical shift.
- Safety Protocol: Strict adherence to safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.
- Environmental Conditions: Comfort working in a facility that may experience temperature fluctuations, dust, and moderate to high noise levels depending on the season.
Compensation: Starting at $60,000 Annual Incentive
