Job Summary
We are a custom furniture manufacturer seeking an experienced Finish Painter to handle spraying, sealing, color matching, and finish execution on high-end custom pieces.This role requires both hands-on finishing skill and the ability to work in an organized, repeatable system. You will be responsible for producing consistent, high-quality finishes that match approved samples and specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinishing & Spraying
- Spray finishes on custom furniture and components
- Seal, sand, and prep surfaces for final finish
- Apply stains, paints, and clear coats consistently
- Maintain high finish quality and attention to detail
Color Matching & Samples
- Match finishes to approved samples
- Create and adjust finish samples as needed
- Maintain consistency across repeat jobs
- Document finishes for future reference
Workflow & Organization
- Organize finishing workflow to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Coordinate with production and project management
- Maintain a clean and safe finishing area
- Follow company processes and quality standards
Systems & Documentation
- Use computer systems to create and store finish formulas
- Record finish recipes and adjustments
- Track materials and usage
- Help improve finishing processes and repeatability
Qualifications
Required
- Experience spraying furniture finishes (not house painting)
- Understanding of sealing, sanding, and finish prep
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to match samples accurately
- Comfortable using a computer for formulas and documentation
Preferred
- Experience in custom furniture or cabinetry
- Knowledge of stains, paints, and clear finishes
- Ability to organize workflow and prioritize jobs
- Experience working with repeatable finish systems
