Job Summary:
As the Inside Sales Associate, you will supports the sales team at Carter Architectural Panels and Architectural Systems Group by managing all quoting and order coordination for ACM flat sheet and extruded aluminum components for ACM panel systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and independent outside sales representatives, delivering accurate quotes, technical guidance, and responsive service to drive sales of our architectural materials.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Quoting & Pricing
- Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive quotes for etalbond® ACM flat sheet in various colors, finishes, and sizes.
- Generate quotes for extruded aluminum components, including EVO™ RIVETLESS™ and FUSION™ DRILLFREE™ system attachment profiles, and related hardware.
- Calculate pricing using current material costs, freight, duties, and margin guidelines.
- Respond to quote requests from customers and outside sales reps within established turnaround times.
Customer & Rep Support
- Serve as the main inside contact for independent outside sales representatives across the US and Canada.
- Provide product information, technical specifications, and application guidance for ACM and extrusion systems.
- Assist customers with product selection, material take-offs, and system recommendations.
- Follow up on open quotes to convert opportunities into orders.
Order Processing & Coordination:
- Enter and manage customer orders in Quick Books.
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Logistics Manager to confirm material availability and delivery timelines.
- Track order status and communicate updates to customers and sales reps.
- Resolve order discrepancies, backorders, and delivery or quality issues promptly.
Sales Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions.
- Generate regular reports on quote activity, win rates, and pipeline status.
- Support outside sales reps with pricing updates, product literature, and sample requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve quoting efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5–10 years of inside sales or customer service experience, preferably in building materials, aluminum, flat sheet, profiles or other architectural products.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent math and pricing calculation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
- Proficient in Quick Books and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting both direct customers and outside sales reps.
This role is essential to keeping our quoting process fast and accurate while supporting the success of our outside sales team and direct customers.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
