The Role:
We’re seeking a Vice President of Global Engineering to lead our global engineering organization through its next stage of growth and modernization. This executive will own engineering delivery across Cart’s commerce, fulfillment, and platform ecosystems, driving operational excellence, AI-powered innovation, and world-class product reliability.
This role requires a strategic technology leader with deep experience in supply chain systems (OMS, WMS, TMS, ERP integrations), AI/ML engineering, and scalable SaaS architecture. The VP will partner closely with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to deliver transformative outcomes for our customers and internal teams.

The Role:
We’re seeking a Vice President of Global Engineering to lead our global engineering organization through its next stage of growth and modernization. This executive will own engineering delivery across Cart’s commerce, fulfillment, and platform ecosystems, driving operational excellence, AI-powered innovation, and world-class product reliability.
This role requires a strategic technology leader with deep experience in supply chain systems (OMS, WMS, TMS, ERP integrations), AI/ML engineering, and scalable SaaS architecture. The VP will partner closely with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to deliver transformative outcomes for our customers and internal teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a global engineering team (100 engineers across multiple time zones) with focus on speed, quality, and reliability.
- Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with Cart’s unified commerce vision.
- Oversee the delivery of multi-tenant SaaS applications across commerce, fulfillment, and analytics domains.
- Embed AI and automation into engineering processes and product capabilities — from intelligent routing to demand forecasting.
- Strengthen SDLC maturity with modern DevOps, CI/CD, and GenAI-enabled development practices.
- Partner with Product and Infrastructure leadership to build a product-first, engineering-led culture focused on measurable customer outcomes.
- Champion architecture modernization, microservices transformation, and API-first platform design.
- Build and develop high-performing teams, emphasizing coaching, inclusion, and career growth.
- Implement engineering KPIs including DORA metrics, velocity, quality, uptime, and TCO.
- Serve as a key member of the technology leadership team — contributing to company-wide strategy and roadmap.
- Proven success leading global SaaS or platform engineering teams (100 engineers).
- Deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, or commerce platforms (WMS, OMS, TMS, ERP).
- Track record of driving modernization from legacy monoliths to cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Strong grasp of DevOps, DataOps, and CI/CD automation frameworks.
- 15 years of software engineering experience, including 7 years in senior leadership roles.
- Experience integrating or building AI/ML models in production environments.
