Summary
• Under the direction of the deparment management and the assigned Registered Nurse, this position will provide continuous observation and monitorinf of patients at high risk of cauing injury to self or others during their hosptial stay. Safely performs a variety of patient care tasks. Population served by this position is all age groups.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers.
Must be able to show at least one of the following:
• Completion of a certified nurse's aide course within the last two (2) years.• Completion of fundamentals of nursing (1st semester of nursing program at an accredited school of nursing.)
• Recent (within the last two (2) years) job experience as a patient care provider and completion of a certified nurse's aide course in the past.
• Completion of a hospital-specific training regarding sitter and patient care duties within thirty (30) days hire or position entry.
• Must successfully complete the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within six (6) months of hire or position entry.
