Summary
Under the direction of the nurse manager and direct supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant (PA), advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or registered nurse (RN), provides supportive care to the Emergency Department through specified patient care duties. Responsible for performing specialized technical tasks and procedures within scope of practice, as defined on this job description, according to established protocols. Population served by this position is all age groups.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Paramedic Licensure within the state of Nevada
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technicians - Paramedic (EMTP)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers within 90 days of employment
- American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for healthcare providers within 90 days of employment
- Must successfully complete Non-Violent Crisis intervention within six (6) months of hire or position entry
Preferred:
- Current active NV Laboratory License
