Job Summary:
Carson City Grocery Outlet is a small, family-owned and operated business seeking friendly and dependable Cashiers to join our team. This role is key to providing excellent customer service while ensuring accurate and efficient checkout experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience
- Operate cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Scan and bag items efficiently while maintaining care of products
- Maintain price accuracy and ensure proper item ringing
- Assist customers with questions, product locations, and basic inquiries
- Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and stocked with supplies
- Follow all store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Support team members and assist with light stocking or front-end tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and punctual
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required
