What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER position at CARRY ON TRAILER INC?
Carry-On Trailer in Coburg, OR. is seeking candidates for the position of Production Assembler, working on 2nd shift Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. SUMMARY
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks in a manufaacturing environment. Assignments may include production line assignments, wood floor and wall installation, aluminum installation, trailer wiriing, installation of trailer lighting and material handling. Team members are also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
• Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
• Clean-up work area daily.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required
• Must have the ability to use and read a tape measure
* Carpentry ro sheet metal experience is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
• Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time
