- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Valid Texas Teacher’s certificate or such other credentials as may be required by the State board for Educator Certification for this position.
- Valid certification in special education.
- Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders and other types of academic, social, and behavioral challenges
- Strong organizational, communication, technology and interpersonal skills.
- Provide in-home training per the ARD committee recommendations.
- Provide parent training per the ARD committee recommendations.
- Maintain the in home and parent training database.
- Supervise/coordinate/train in-home and parent training program and staff.
- Maintain student files with in-home and parent training documentation.
- Update the diagnosticians prior to an ARD regarding the status of a student’s in- home and parent training minutes and provide input for recommendations for in- home and parent training in the new ARD year.
- Collaborate with the autism specialist, BRS and other special education staff regarding students with an autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with students, parents, and district staff.

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for providing in-home and parent training to students with autism spectrum disorder, ages 3-21, who are enrolled in Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.
